Happy Friday and long weekend!!!!!
So I started writing this yesterday and that go so busy and totally forgot about it. Whoops! So here it is:
Week 2 Check-in:
Weight change: -.8
Total weight lost: -1.3
Reflections:
- I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with that number. I expected to be higher, but then upon some thinking I guess it makes sense. I didn't exercise at all this week except for a yoga class last night, I drank a decent amount of beer over the weekend, and wasn't completely diligent with filling in my food journal. Still, .8 it almost a pound and as long as it's moving the right direction, I'm a happy clam.
- I really liked yoga! I've tried to do yoga in the past and it just never was really my thing. Now with a bum knee I just needed to do something, and it didn't hurt at all! I was also pouring sweat and am a bit sore today. There were points when my heart was pumping. Anyone who says yoga isn't a work out just isn't trying hard enough.
- I made lunch every day except today (we're going out to lunch for a work celebration), and made dinner every night. I stuck to my planned meals fairly well, one night opting for a frozen Trader Joe's meal because I was feeling lazy, and last night whipping up some eggs quickly because I was starving after yoga.
- My snacking at work seems to be under control (I'm almost afraid to even type this in case it jynx it). My protein, fruit and veggie heavy lunches have been filling me up!
Goals for this week:
- Pack lunch every day
- Track during the week AND during the weekend
- Exercise 3x (starting with yoga at Gold's at 10am on Sunday... hopefully!
- Meal plan
- Protein focused meals
- Drink more water! (a perpetual goal for me)
Lunch yesterday was this big salad: lettuce, tomato, marinated mushrooms, artichokes and kidney beans, plus some fruit on the side. I also had this peanut butter cup Unreal candy that i got fo' free because I'm a BzzAgent!
Dinner last night was 2 eggs with an English muffin and celery dipped in dark chocolate peanut butter. Might sound like a weird combo but it was good! Let's be real though, the celery just seemed like a better vehicle for the dark chocolate peanut butter than a spoon...
Look at that action dip shot.
Oh! I'm onto book #22 -- Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrad. OMG, I love it. I'm only about a quarter of the way through and think about it all the time!!! So happy to be reading a good back again. Woo hoo!
