I started this blog somewhere during the middle of college as a way to cope with some things I was struggling with at the time -- some of which I'm still struggling with today. I've always turned to writing as a way to sort out and express my thoughts, so using a blog was just easier than pen and paper. I sought to find more balance, appreciation and acceptance in my life and have come strides since writing my first post in 2010.
The blog has changed as I've changed, and has become more of an outlet for documenting my experiences in daily life as well as special moments (travel, birthdays etc). I continue to strive and write about my quest for a healthy lifestyle, but the word 'healthy' means much more to me these days: it includes nutrition and fitness, but it equally acknowledges the importance of balance, self love, and finding and expressing passion. I often get just as much out of an intense gym session as I get out of trying a new great restaurant -- both excite me, both ignite my senses, and both make me feel happy and satisfied.
So that's what this blog is: a way to keep myself in check and share the great (and not so great) things about my life. It's so easy to, figuratively, "tip the scale" in one direction and writing here has helped me to keep it steady. So thank you for listening to my rambles.
Happy reading!
