Sometimes it feels like I open my eyes and weeks have passed. It's already mid-March. Four months until my big sister gets married. One month until my parents sell and move out of my childhood home. Four months until my best friend returns from Mongolia. Three months until I turn 27. How did that happen?
During a really tough winter (we're at 105 inches of snow here in Boston), I've spent many of my days dreaming of warmer days to come. I've been making an effort to consciously slow things down and take care of myself. Here's what I've been up to lately:
Appreciating the beautiful view out of my office window:
Putting my health first. In the past few weeks I've seen the dentist, eye doctor, physical therapist and have a physical set for a few weeks. I've also made a significant effort to get my PT approved exercises in. My calves are in a perpetual state of soreness.

| 100% empty gym |
Finally dealing with my hair and getting it cut:
(Something weird happened to my hair and it just has not been cooperating. I went to a salon that specialized in curly hair and was convinced to chop a lot off. This may not look short to some people, but it is to me! I'm going back in a few weeks to get the color under control. I'm excited!)
Having some fun in the city:
 |
| An array of cheap beers |
 |
| Cheese plate for the Oscars! |
 |
| Fuel from Clover for a House of Cards marathon |
 |
| First volleyball game! We are 1-0! |
 |
| Salmon tartare -- restaurant week at Mistral |
Enjoying the present but thinking about the future: I officially got promoted at work! Woo hoo! It feels great to see a very hard year of work pay off in my favor. That being said, I'm starting to think seriously about my next steps, and be honest with myself about what I want -- career and general life wise.
