Things

Some things that are making me smile today:

1. Funny things on the internet, particularly this and this and this and this (and all babies doing X compilation vids to follow).

2. Pretty flowers.

3. Long walks by the beach.

5. This insane Groupon that I bought.

6. A few of my friends from college are visiting this weekend!

7. Running a 5K last night, not [really] caring about my time, and just being glad to be running again (and realizing I wore the same shirt at this race last year...I need new clothes).

8. The sky after the run.

9. Spending as much money as I feel like on pre-cut watermelon.

10. The Mindy Project...this show is surprisingly hysterical.

11. Top Chef Duels starting in a few weeks.

12. My new elephant candle.

13. The reminder that I have so many people who love, respect, and care about me. How did I get so lucky?

Liz and Marvin's Engagement Party

Last weekend I had the pleasure of officially celebrating the engagement of my sister and her fiancé!

The BBQ was held at my aunt and uncle's house on Long Island, and I was able to head to New York early to help set up and add some special touches.

That last photo is the wedding countdown board I made for them. I went to Michael's and bought a wood plaque, regular paint and chalkboard paint and used Etsy for some inspiration!

The party was a lot of fun and I think Liz and Marvin were thrilled to have their families all meeting and mingling for the first time. It definitely made me excited for the next year of planning as the maid of honor!
