Ten Random Thoughts

1. I'm reading "The Signature of All Things" by Elizabeth Gilbert and I can't wait for it to be over. I started this book on January 14 and am only just over halfway through. As you all know with my book-reading goals this is a long time for me to be stuck on one book. GAHHHH!

2. Last week at work we had a "two truths and a lie" icebreaker. Mine were:
- I was a 5-year varsity soccer player
- Pickles are my favorite food
- I have a tattoo on my back

Everyone picked the pickles one as the lie! Now I'm the subject of a lot of pickle jokes.

3. I love snow days!

4. I finished season 1 of House of Cards this morning. Hoooooly shit!! I love and hate Frank Underwood. Hate is winning at the moment.

5. I still haven't decided what I want to make for the potluck tonight.

6. Last night we got first place at trivia again against 25 teams!!! I had to do the tiebreaker at the end and am now 3 for 3! The tiebreakers are basically back and forth "categories" (like in the game Kings). Our category was European countries and I stumped the guy with Croatia. Thank goodness for Sporcle!

7. My run last night was terrible. It is absolutely crazy what a few days off of working out does to my body. I felt like my legs weighed 10,000 pounds each and I was cramping up like woah. It will get easier in a day or two, but it really is nuts!

8. Billy Joel is playing at Fenway this summer. I feel really excited but also a little wary. What will it be like to see him in Boston? How can he really sing New York State of Mind in Fenway Park?!? Will people boo him??

9. I watched the Biggest Loser triathlon and it made me want to do one! Perhaps it's time to take some swimming lessons? PS - anyone else think that triathlon was unfair and dumb? Obviously Rachel was going to win it. I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

10. In my timehop today there is a tweet I wrote asking: "Does anyone know about the new 'Fromage' sign in Southie on W Broadway?" This place is still not open and still has the same weird red paper over it. What the F?!?! I'm convinced it's a Breaking Bad-esque meth lab in disguise.

  1. I really think you're overthinking this Bill Joel in Boston thing. You really think a bunch of people are going to pay for tickets to see the guy to boo one of his most popular songs? I think it will be fun!
