It's Wednesday and I'm still riding the Miami high!! My sister's bachelorette weekend was such a blast. I was definitely left wondering why I spend 6 months of the year living in the miserable hell hole of New England when there are people in Miami soaking up the sun all year round...
It all started with a 4 am wake-up call on Friday morning. After a close call at the airport (they called my name over the loudspeaker, so embarrassing...), I arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport. These people are really stuck in the 90's. Check out the neon airport decor!
My cousin rented a car and picked us up at the airport. As soon as the warm air hit my face I felt so happy and relieved!! We ran a couple of errands and dropped off the car before finally heading to our hotel. We couldn't check in until 4, so we changed and moved out to the pool!

We stayed at the
Savoy Hotel, which is such a gem for the area (as far as I could tell). It's way down Ocean Drive so it's quieter than many of the other hotels around. It has a huge pool area, direct access to the beach, and slightly more affordable suites.
Once we were able to check in, we went to work on decorating one of the suites to surprise Liz! I brought a giant bag from home filled with lots of fun stuff. It all worked out better than I expected!

I made these glasses and little survival kits for everyone -- which actually came in quite handy! I put into the kit: Advil, stomach meds, a KIND bar, Starbursts, gum, sunglasses, and my cousin got us each specially made tattoos and tank tops!

After a few hours we hopped in cabs to eat dinner at
Lure Fishbar. For some reason I was really nervous about the dinners I had planned for the trip. It's hard to plan a meal for a big group of girls you don't know well who all have different tastes and spending desires. Lure worked out amazingly -- it ended being a bit more expensive than expected but was so delicious. We shared a few appetizers (including some incredible crispy blue point oysters) and then I ordered a few sushi rolls for myself. I was in heaven.

After dinner we decided to go back to the hotel and hang out for the rest of the night. We had fun plans for Saturday and needed our beauty rest!
Saturday started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. I was really surprised by the food at the hotel -- nearly everything we ordered exceeded expectations.
After breakfast we headed out for the day! Our first stop was
Wet Willie's to get some frozen drinks!

When we finished our drinks we moved to our next stop:
The Clevelander pool party! This whole day was SO fun. I'll let the photos do the talking:

| Our custom tanks were a big hit! |

| Forcing people to play games, as usual. |
I had made us dinner reservations for that night, and some responsible person (not me, probably my pregnant (!) cousin) decided it was time for us to head back to the hotel. The walk back is very blurry for me, but I know we walked along the beach because I have pictures! I also know I stopped to sit and talk to a homeless man and ended up with about 25 ant bites on my hands...
Somehow we made it back to the hotel, got showered and ready, and made it to dinner on time!

Our second dinner was amazing also! I booked it for
The Local House, which was steps away from our hotel. I ordered a watermelon salad which was literally my dream come true. I wish I had taken a picture. No joke, there was an ENTIRE watermelon cut up on the plate and covered in goat cheese. That's it! It was my perfect meal.
After dinner it was time to hit the town. We made a few stops throughout the night, but the only one I can remember for sure was
Mango's -- a super fun Latin style dance club.

We finished off the night back at the Clevelander for some free VIP bottle service on the rooftop (getting this for our party is one of my life's proudest accomplishments HAH!).
Well we didn't actually finish at the Clevelander. Instead, we made a pit stop at the
News Cafe for some late night food. I ordered a grilled cheese (typical). After spending some time hanging at the hotel pool, I finally went to bed at 6 am. 6 am!!!! Let's just say I'm still suffering the consequences of this 4 days later.
The next day was rough on everyone. Luckily most of us had late flights so after checking out we were able to lounge at the pool/beach until it was time to leave.
