3/6/13 and 3/7/13

Hi there...totally forgot to update last night so here's my eats for the last two days.

Wednesday:

Breakfast was a banana and string cheese. I spent most of the day overseeing a furniture move for my office. So fun.


Lunch was eaten on the floor. I made a big bowl of greek pasta salad on Tuesday night (pasta, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, artichokes, feta cheese and pesto) so I had some of that with an orange. I also had a sparkling water which was a little gross.



Oh. I also had a regular coke in the car on the way there. This was my first time having a coke product in the last 40 days, and I drank it because I was super nauseous. When I told my coworker I wasn't feeling well she happened to have bought a coke before we left and offered it to me. It actually did make me feel better. I don't crave regular coke at all so I don't think it was a big deal and am definitely not counting it as drinking diet coke!

I was so bored the whole day...I don't even know what I did. There wasn't any internet so I just kind of stared at my phone for 5 hours. At least there was a nice view.



I got home late and was really hungry so I grabbed a string cheese and some stuffed grape leaves while I boiled water for pasta.


I was in kind of a weird mood when I got home and felt really tired and stressed. All I wanted was something hot and comforting so I made a big bowl of whole wheat spaghetti with olive oil and garlic. I had some grapes on the side and ate it right in my bed.


Thursday (today):

Breakfast this morning was another string cheese and banana...eaten in the car because Tom was a nice boyfriend and drove me to work :)


For lunch I had more pasta salad, grapes, and this time had a few pieces of low sodium turkey on the side. I was really hungry yesterday and thought it could be because of the lack of protein, so I added this to see how I felt.



Later on I snacked on some raw carrots.

I got home late from work again today and was really hungry. I immediately grabbed some pickles and had a small piece of chocolate before I decided to just make something while we waited for our take out to be delivered. I had some nutella on a piece of whole wheat bread and a handful of pistachios. Finally our food came -- I got the vegetable udon noodle stir fry and we split a "chef's special" sushi roll:



I've been really hungry when I get home from work lately. I think it might be because I'm eating a smaller breakfast (string cheese and banana instead of the ezekial cereal and a piece of fruit). I've been so hectic at work lately so having something quick has been ideal. Maybe I need to start eating a heartier snack around 4 so I'm not ready to eat everything in the fridge when I get home?

  1. You're not eating enough throughout the day. When you can, call me and we can calculate the calories you should be eating. Doesn't mean you have to count calories, but you can have a ballpark. I literally eat like 5-7x a day!

  2. Also how much water are you drinking throughout the day? If you eat lunch around 12, you should have like 2 snacks if you aren't going to eat dinner until 7 or so. You could also be thirsty when you get home... try chugging some ice water before going into the fridge.

    Carrots & hummus are like my go-to filler food while I'm waiting for dinner to cook or be delivered. It's really healthy, low calorie, low carb, and also packs some protein so a small amount will fill you up and probably even make you eat less once dinner is ready!

  3. I definitely don't drink enough water. I have such a hard time getting enough throughout the day!
