Goals for 2014

And here we are, one week into January!


How cute is my new desk calendar? Love love love it.

So it's about time I put some of these in writing huh? Here are my goals for 2014!

1. Focus on diminishing bad habits:
- Stay diet coke free.
- Keep on trucking with the pen chewing.
- Make flossing a daily habit. I go through stages with flossing where I am diligent for a few months then totally drop the ball. My gums are sensitive so I have to do this!

2. Come up with a password system:
- As TKO teased, "I could do this today," but I am not doing it today so it's one of my goals for the year! I need to protect my stuff AND start using a password on my phone. I know, I know, I'm terrible!

3. Create a savings plan:
- I'm a pretty good saver but I think with a little effort I can be even better! I want to organize my spending and set myself limits/month.

4. Increase fitness level:
- Walk more often to and from work, especially when it's nice out!
- Run a half marathon (AH!).
- Run 5 races (including the half).
- Knock off at least two items from my Fitness Bucket List.
- Keep strength training - come up with a plan and associated goals.

5. Keep eating real food:
- Grow more herbs. I grew basil this year and loved it. My mint never took off but I will keep on trying!
- Help Tom with the garden again this year.
- Keep food shopping consistently.
- Keep focusing on more protein, veggies and healthy fat, less grains, cheese and anything processed.
- Go to farmers markets.

6. Lose weight:
- Achieve DietBet goal
- Keep seeing nutritionist
- Re-evaluate goals in May

7. Be a good GREAT friend, girlfriend and family member:
- Send birthday cards.
- Express gratitude.
- Make time for skype/phone calls.
- Visit!

8. Travel:
- Always a goal :)

9. Go to the doctor throughout the year:
- Dermatologist ASAP.
- Eye doctor for check-up in March.
- Dentist in 1-2 months.
- Annual physical in December.

10. Read and write
- Read 30 books
- Write ~100 blog posts
- Be a good Elite yelper!

And there you have it. Nothing too crazy this year, just constantly trying to make myself my best self!
