May is my favorite month! I'm really hoping that May will pull Boston out of this HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE winter weather and it will be nice and sunny for more than 1 day. Please weather gods, let it happen. This morning I had to stand outside at my bus stop for thirty minutes while the rain flew at me sideways. I thought of 20 places I want to move to...New England weather is just not agreeing with me this year.
To "celebrate" my favorite month, I plan to tackle those good ole' planks on my fitness bucket list. I'm going to follow the Fitnessista's April plank challenge but do it in May instead.
I imagine if I pushed it I could actually hold a plank for two minutes today, but I might as well start slow. I'll be doing this in addition to my usual workouts and hopefully will just do it most mornings when I wake up!
Oh yea, I know there are 31 days in May but the 31st is my birthday and I have an all day wedding so this is only 30 days long :)

Last night was a good night. After a crappy day at work I went to total body strength and loved the workout...more torturous Swiss hamstring curls (just learned that's the real name!) but I am getting slightly better at them. After the gym I met the gang at trivia and we got third place, which is pretty dang decent. I even defended my tie breaker title and eeked by in the U.S. president category! I weirdly know the names of a lot of presidents. And the restaurant brought back my all time favorite watermelon-feta salad!! It's waaay less fancy than it used to look:

I was nervous the watermelon wouldn't be good (since it's still winter here in Boston) and tried to get the waitress to tell me if it was ripe. She didn't really understand me but it worked out in the end. My mouth is watering just looking at that melon!
Is there someone I can pay to deliver me a watermelon every day??
