The Paramount - South Boston

Hello! It feels like it is later in the week than Tuesday. Eek!

I ended up skipping the workout in general last night and went out to dinner with Tom. I was supposed to go before dinner but time escaped me. Oh well. I'll make up for it tonight! We decided to go to The Paramount in Southie. I had been once right when it just opened but hadn't had the best experience. This time is was much better, but still not as great as I'd expect (regarding service, not food).

I ordered the grilled apple salad which came with goat cheese (was supposed to be gorgonzola but I actually was happy they mistakenly put on goat), candied pecans and grilled chicken. The combination of the dressing with the ingredients was really delicious.

Tom ordered the braised short rib which came with a ton of cheesy mashed potatoes and green beans. I don't think everything was cooked perfectly but I really enjoyed the few bites I took :)


This morning I started the day off right with some cereal and a banana. Lunch was some leftover salad from last night (I mixed in more lettuce) and this little bag of nuts that I got at the BAA 10k a few weeks ago. 



I am such a race snack hoarder!! Tom was probably embarrassed to be with me as I lugged my bag around filled to the brim with free stuff. At least he didn't have to stand next to me while I frantically shoved 100 bags of pretzels in.

I don't know why these nuts say "men's health" on them. I assume they are also good for women and aren't testosterone-filled nuts or something. [that was the dirtiest and best pun I've ever said/written! and now I've ruined it by pointing it out.]

Tonight on the agenda is a workout of some sort and then trivia at Stats! Wooo!
