Heyo! I'm having a great day. When I woke up I wasn't feeling too hot so I decided to work from home! I knew I didn't have too much going on today and figured everything could be manageable from home. And if not, work is only a 10 minute cab ride away. That's one of the positives of working in an office of 2 people, although it's not like I take advantage -- this is the first time I've done this.
Let's talk about last night first. After cooking up some whole wheat pasta I added it to a skillet with mushrooms, mixed greens and roasted red peppers. Mix in some pasta water and parmasen cheese and you're set.
I put wayyy too much in my bowl and really made a conscious effort to listen to my hunger. About half way through the bowl I felt full so I immediately poured the rest into a tupperware container and put it in the fridge. I'm one of those people who will just keep eating what's in front of me, so out of sight, out of mind it was!
After digesting for a bit I headed over to the gym for some cardio. I spent about an hour walking at an incline on the treadmill. I got bored at one point and decided to run just 1 mile, but wanted to do it in under 10 minutes. I finished the mile in about 9:45! It's still embarrasing that my pace is STILL so far off from where I was, but at least I'm making progress!
When I got home I ate a banana, watched some of the Glee Project and was off to bed.
I spent this morning and afternoon getting work done while simultaneously cleaning out our fridge and freezer. That was a loong time coming and I'm glad it's done. Working from home means I don't have to eat my normal cereal for breakfast! Today I had scrambled eggs with peanut butter smeared toast and a banana. Yum.
I decided to use my 'lunch break' to get outside and walk to the grocery store. I picked up some fruit and veggies and some staples to keep in the cabinet. When I came home I cut up some watermelon and ate it alongside leftovers from last night.
Now I'm back to work but sneaking in some housework like laundry and this pinterest-inspired project that took 3 seconds!
I always commplain about my straightener and hairdryer looking messy and in the way. I use them almost every day so it's not worth unplugging them and putting them away, but I hate when they're just tangled together on the floor. Problem solved!
I have a gym class at 6:30 tonight and then a few of my friends from NY are coming to visit. Looking forward to the weekend!
