Yurbuds

First of all, this just happened:

Gah! I got an email this morning saying the race was almost at capacity, and I don't really know what I was waiting for, so I just bit the bullet and signed up. Here we go!! And thank you to Hayley for so nicely telling me to just do it.

And now the purpose of this post, introducing my favorite new running accessory: Yurbuds!

Yurbuds are ultra-soft ear phones that are *guaranteed* to never fall out. The mission of the company is "to transform the Athletes' experience through personalized service and exceptional audio products that integrate ergonomics and emotive design. We have a world-class patented design that complements the human ear while providing exceptional sound quality."

I've been in the market for new ear phones for a while. I've been rotating between a pair of broken Apple ear phones and a pair I stole from Tom that were uncomfortable in my ears. I had first read about Yurbuds on Sarah Fit, but wasn't ready to order them online despite their low price. While I was in New York about a month ago I randomly saw them at the checkout line in Marshall's for just $16.99. I decided to bite the bullet and try them out, still unsure if I believed all of the hype on the packaging.

Well, I can happily say these are by far my favorite ear phones I've ever used! Here's why:

- They are extremely comfortable. I don't feel them when they are in my ears and they came in a smaller size for women, so they fit perfectly.
- They do not fall out. I thought the no fall out guarantee had to be bullshit, but they really stay put! The ear phones "lock" into your ears like a key, and as you can see in the photo above are uniquely shaped just like your inner ear. I've tested them through running, strength training (going up and down) and jumping rope and they always stay right where they should.
- They have great sound quality. I always mention what a difference music makes in my workouts, and with these ear phones the sound comes through loud and crystal clear. Definitely an upgrade from my broken Apple ones!
- They come in fun colors! Not a priority, but I am really digging my neon orange ear phones. Plus, they are super easy to spot in my bag or in a mess of stuff in my room.

If I could change anything, I would add a volume control on the wire like the Apple ear phones have. It looks like some of the slightly more expensive versions on the website have these, so maybe I will upgrade to those when I need new ones. Hoping these babies will last me a while!

*This is not a sponsored post [obviously]. I bought these on my own and Yurbuds has no clue who I am.
