We all know I don't like fall. But, now that we've officially switched seasons it's time to force myself to be excited! So here are 10 reasons why this autumn is going to be great:
1. Wearing comfy sweaters. My bank account is suffering a bit because I've been buying myself whatever I want, whenever I want it (I sound like a teenager). I bought these 3 extremely comfy sweaters recently and can't wait to wear them:
2. Related to #1, I am going into this season nearly 40 pounds less than where I was last year. That is INSANE. I also cannot explain how good it feels to go into a store, pick out the size I think I am, and have everything fit. One of the thing I hate most about the change of seasons is the change of wardrobe, so having a lot of clothes that already fit is pretty awesome. I just need to get myself some boots! I also need to either get my jacket taken in or just buy a new one. Can you even get jackets taken in?
3. Billy Joel on October 2! This will be my third time seeing Billy and I just can't wait. I'll also be spending the long weekend in NY with family which is just as exciting as seeing the Piano Man. I've really been missing them the past few weeks...
4. The absolute best part about the fall? CLEMENTINES. 1 box/week please.
5. I'm going to the Wellfleet Oyster Fest in late October with a bunch of friends. I went last year and it was pretty awesome so I'm excited to go back!
6. Halloween! I haven't dressed up for Halloween the last two years so I'm going big this year. I already have an idea for a homemade costume. Hopefully I can pull it off! I also might be making a trip to NY for a fun Halloween weekend, nothing set in stone yet.
7. TV! I have a lot of time on my hands lately so I am sooo excited all of my fall TV shows will be returning. I have them all in my calendar. I think I need some new dramas to watch now that Breaking Bad and Dexter are over. Downtown Abbey, Game of Thrones and House of Cards don't come back for a while. Any suggestions?
8. Hiking. New England is obviously well known for the beautiful foliage. I'm hoping I can recruit some friends to go on some hikes with me around the area. Being outdoors has done TONS for me these last few months and I really don't want it to end just because the temperature is going down.
9. Thanksgiving. No description necessary.
10. More time indoors = more time in the kitchen. My cooking game has really been lacking lately and I think fall will give me the push I need to get back in the kitchen and start experimenting. I at least know my crockpot will be back on the counter!
NY for Halloween, MAKE IT HAPPEN!
