This was a good week.

I stole this title and idea from a new blogger I follow. Each Friday she basically rounds up and shares a few things that made her happy that week. I think this would be a great thing to do consistently, so I'm going to try it out.

Anyway here's what made me happy this week:

1. This art I stumbled upon during a walk downtown.

2. Eating Annie's bunny shaped mac n' cheese in bed (you know I had to add some veggies in)

3. Thinking about last weekend in the Berkshires. I'm waiting on pictures but I'll write a full post about this soon. There were some seriously funny moments that make me crack up at work out of nowhere.

4. Yelp event on Tuesday!

5. Short work weeks are always awesome. I'm in a "new role" at work (AKA my boss is on maternity leave so I volunteered to take over her responsibilities for no additional pay...go me) and I had to host my first meeting with our leadership team. It went really well and I got a pretty amazing compliment from our board chair!

6. Lots of long conversations with my mom and sister <3

7. New season of America's Next Top Model on Hulu. Yep, I might be the only person in the world who still watches this show.

8. More mean tweets.

9. My new bathroom decor. Can you get any more girly?

10. I'm reading another Wally Lamb book (The Hour I First Believed). It doesn't have exceptional reviews but I'm really liking it so far. This guy is just an insane writer. It's about 800 pages so...better enjoy it! For any other WL fans, his book Wishin' and Hopin' was made into a movie and is coming out at some point in 2014. Haven't read that one but should probably get on it.

11. I'm LOVING the Humans of New York African photo series. Thank you Mr. Stanton for the daily reminders in perspective. Life is not so bad, eh?

12. The Myth of Effortlessness. Reminds me of one of my favorite Eat Pray Love quotes:

“Happiness is the consequence of personal effort. You fight for it, strive for it, insist upon it, and sometimes even travel around the world looking for it. You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
